EURONEAR - The European Near Earth Asteroids Research is a project which envisions to establish a coordinated network which will follow-up, recover and discover Near Earth Asteroids (NEAs) and Potentialy Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) using two automated dedicated 1-2 metre telescopes located in both hemispheres and other facilities available to the members of the network.
The Institute of Space Sciences performs follow-up observations of NEAs and PHAs, leads the study of large bolides over Spain in the framework of the SPMN network, and performs laboratory experiments to establish the physico-chemical properties of asteroids and comets, and improve efficient deflection methods.
