The author is Francisco Peña, a young artist established in Barcelona since 2005. You may wish to have a hint at the artist's description of his own work:

In the picture, the three spacecraft are represented with brush strokes in space with a strong dynamism.
A budding artist established in Barcelona, Francisco Peña aims to represent on the canvas a work which symbolises at the same time the modernity of the city [of Barcelona] and the LISA Project by means of an impressionist painting, both dynamic and gestual. On top of a paper background, kept empty to mimic the immensity of the Universe, black stroked circles full of vitality represent the three spacecraft. Triangulating the space, they move around and are captured in the precise instant in which they are correctly positioned.

The pictorial work for which Francisco Peña is known concerns the different forms that establish a kind of encrypted language, which, far from remaining mute or intangible, expresses in itself the desire to be translated by the spectator. Static elements in space that convey a high degree of naturalness and spontaneity, a struggle between the silence of other universes and perpetual agitation. A gesture which also conveys the darkness behind human invention, appearing but briefly, and an immutable non-gesture from the surface, intervening in a prior and permanent existence.
